Clancy & Theys Construction Company is providing construction management services for The Metropolitan at the Riverwalk in downtown Wilmington, NC. The project consists of 293 high end multi-residential units. The residential portion is 335,002 sq ft, 5-stories wood framed over slab, split with 5-stories wood framed over podium supported on deep foundations. Also included is 4,441 sq ft of ground level retail, and a 6-story pre-cast parking deck totaling 153,698 sq ft with 488 parking spaces. High end interior finishes include LVT flooring throughout, quartz countertops, kitchen tile backsplashes, tiled shower wall surrounds and glass shower doors. All units have balconies/porches, while the ground level units will have walk-out patios to the recently completed Riverfront Park. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, courtyard lounge areas, outdoor kitchen and riverfront grilling. Exterior finishes are a combination of brick veneer and fiber cement siding. The project is located on a Brownfield redevelopment site.
