Clancy & Theys was awarded the multi-phased, $13 million Thacker Avenue Elementary School Comprehensive project as the construction manager at risk.
The construction of Phases 1 and 2 consisted of the comprehensive renovation of two (2) existing 18,000 square foot classroom buildings, construction of a new 7,000 square foot administration building, renovation of the existing administrative building to convert to new classroom space and the renovation of the existing media center building. The new classroom spaces contain state-of-the-art technology upgrades including smart board technology in addition to the newly upgraded interior finishes and completely new mechanical and electrical systems.
Phase 3 consisted of the construction of renovations to Buildings 8 and 9 as well as a new cafeteria.
