Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided construction management services for this 78,000 square foot, two-story science and engineering building constructed of structural steel and masonry. The building consists of two wings connected by a middle section of conference rooms and a lobby with a two-story atrium. The building will house offices and advanced laboratories for conducting research in fields such as nanotechnology and environmental technology, as well as projects related to Homeland Security. The laboratories feature special casework, high-bay spaces, and 16’ high ceilings.
Clancy & Theys has completed numerous projects at the Research Triangle Institute including a 40,000 SF phased interior laboratory renovation, a 65,000 SF 6-story office renovation, and a 100,000 SF interior demolition and retrofit of an office building.
