The facility boasts a 6,600 SF great hall with soaring ceilings and a panoramic view of the Trent River and the restored wetlands. It has a state-of-the-art performance hall and galleries of historic exhibits. Visitor amenities include a café, museum store, and orientation theaters. This LEED Silver project features wetlands to filter stormwater runoff, an underground cistern to capture rainwater for irrigation and replenishment of the wetlands, and recycled building materials. Parking and pedestrian areas have permeable surfaces. Building operations include energy-saving devices engineered to yield optimal mechanical efficiencies.
