Eagle Creek Elementary School

Overview

Clancy & Theys was awarded Eagle Creek Elementary School and Independence Elementary School as a General Contractor together in one hard bid package. The schools were constructed concurrently on separate greenfield sites. Both schools are a SchenkelShultz Architecture prototype, two-story, 82,000 square foot buildings that provide administrative offices, classrooms, 832 student stations, art and music suites, kitchen, multi-purpose rooms and dining areas. The site work included new bus loops, playground, sports areas and parking.

The building structure includes conventional spread footing foundations, load-bearing tilt-wall panels, and a structural steel frame. The building envelop consists of the textured coated tilt-wall panels, storefront, aluminum framed windows, curtain wall and a single-ply roof membrane over light-weight insulating concrete.
