Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the Wake County Public School System to build West Millbrook Middle School. The new 225,332 SF middle school was constructed on the existing 40-acre campus while the school was in session. The new middle school accommodates 1,280 students and includes an auditorium, gymnasium, dining hall, and athletic fields. Construction included a shallow foundation with load-bearing masonry and structural steel. The skin comprises brick, metal panels, and curtain wall window systems. Students, faculty, and other staff moved into the new facility. Repurposing the old school site involved demolition, grading, and the construction of athletic fields and parking areas.
