Overview
The SPCA of Wake County is a 16,000 SF, single-story administrative headquarters and animal shelter facility. The structure is a load-bearing masonry with a steel frame and metal siding veneer. The facility includes offices, animal holding areas, play areas, viewing rooms, veterinary exam rooms, laundry rooms, and a food preparation area. The project delivery method was a team-built approach, a modified version of Construction Management at Risk, involving collaboration among the owner, design team, and construction manager. Clancy & Theys provided preconstruction and construction services.
