Clancy & Theys Construction Company was awarded the Milwee Middle School Gymnasium Addition, Fire Alarm System Upgrades, and administration area renovation project in October of 2019. The new addition and renovation project was completed on an active and occupied campus in two phases.
Construction was completed in two phases, including Phase I, constructing a new 23,867 square foot gymnasium, demolition of the existing gymnasium, new perimeter security fencing, and fire alarm system upgrades. During Phase II of construction, the campus’s main administration building was renovated to provide the school with an aesthetically secure single-point-of-entry and the renovation of the existing running track. The project team was selected based on its proven experience working on active and occupied campuses. This project required great attention to safety, logistics, cost, and schedule adherence, all of which demonstrated this experienced team’s strengths.
