Design Development Architects awarded Outstanding School Design 2018 by American School & University

Congratulations to Design Development Architects of Raleigh, N.C. on their recent recognition for Outstanding School Design 2018 by American School & University, a leading publication celebrating educational design on a national level. Design Development Architects was given the award for two North Carolina projects, Neuse Charter School’s high school in Smithfield and East Wake Academy’s middle school in Zebulon.

Design Development Architects partnered with Clancy & Theys on East Wake Academy’s middle school, the third student building on the campus. The two-story building was designed and constructed to meet the needs of the growing student population, providing four lab classrooms, a learning lab and an innovation lab.

“Design Development Architects embraced the collaborative teamwork approach from the design phase through construction,” commented Bobby Anweiler, the Clancy & Theys Project Manager on the East Wake Academy project. “Their commitment to ensuring the project design and programming needs aligned with the existing campus and educational needs was consistent from the entire team involved in the project.”

Clancy & Theys has the privilege of collaborating with many talented companies, and we were honored to be able to work alongside Design Development Architects on the East Wake Academy project. We look forward to working with this excellent firm again in the future.
