Clancy & Theys Construction Company has appointed Rob Poole as Corporate Safety Director, a vital leadership role that responds directly to the company’s mission value and dedication to safety. As Corporate Safety Director, Poole with lead Clancy & Theys’ organization-wide safety strategy, guiding the Safety Department in advancing key initiatives and enforcement efforts throughout all divisions.
“Safety is a core value at Clancy & Theys, and the Corporate Safety Director plays a critical role in helping ensure every employee goes home safely at the end of the day,” said Baker Glasgow, President of Clancy & Theys Construction Company. “Rob’s focus is not only on strengthening our safety programs, risk management, and training, but also on building relationships across the company so safety remains a shared responsibility at every level of our company.”
In his role, Poole will oversee corporate safety initiatives throughout the organization and will lead the Safety Department in managing safety initiatives, directives, and enforcement. With over 35 years of construction industry experience, Poole has performed investigations and enforced safety requirements all around the world. His previous work with crane investigations and structural failures showcases his ability to solve problems and create proactive solutions to prevent safety incidents from occurring.

Poole holds both a Master of Science in Environmental Health & Safety and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from East Carolina University.
Outside of work, Poole enjoys spending time on the golf course, shooting clays, and hiking with his family whenever given the opportunity.
