Clancy & Theys Construction Company is pleased to welcome Steven Allison as Director of Project Development for the company’s Charlotte Division.
A native Charlottean, Steven brings more than 15 years of public affairs experience building trusted partnerships among companies, local governments, economic development organizations, business and community leaders, and other key stakeholders across Charlotte and the Carolinas.
He has helped organizations navigate complex issues, advocate for strategic priorities, and build support for initiatives that drive economic growth and regional development. His work has supported clients in a variety of industries, including commercial real estate, transportation and infrastructure, technology, financial services, manufacturing, and tourism and entertainment.
“Steven’s knowledge of the Charlotte market and his ability to bring people and organizations together make him a valuable addition to our team,” said Sean Quinn, Vice President and Charlotte Division Manager. “His experience working across the business, government, and community sectors gives him a valuable perspective on how projects and partnerships take shape. Throughout his career, Steven has developed a deep understanding of the policy and economic development issues that influence growth across the Charlotte region. He has helped organizations strengthen community connections and identify opportunities that support long-term business objectives. This experience provides a strong foundation for his new project development role, where he will focus on expanding relationships with clients, industry partners, and community stakeholders while identifying opportunities that align with the Charlotte Division’s capabilities and goals.

Steven is involved in the Charlotte business community, with affiliations that include the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, where he previously served on the Legislative Agenda Task Force; HTA; REBIC; ULI; and Leadership Charlotte.
A graduate of Appalachian State University, he remains closely connected to the High Country and frequently returns for Mountaineer football games and to hike. He is on the advisory board of his daughter’s school and supports nonprofits addressing pediatric diseases and offering wrap-around services. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife and daughter.
