Overview
Clancy & Theys Construction Company completed a Construction Manager at Risk with White Oak Elementary School—a 100,000 SF elementary school in western Cary along the American Tobacco Trail. Construction consisted of brick veneer on load-bearing masonry and a modified bitumen roofing system on lightweight insulating concrete. The site development included minor demolition, construction of a multi-purpose field with a walking track, and a water service extension. Clancy & Theys coordinated tightly with a neighboring church expansion project to develop and jointly provide utilities and site access. The project also included off-site improvements at two intersections and road widening along the school frontage.
