Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided construction management for Carol Woods Retirement Community. Clancy & Theys constructed two significant projects for Carol Woods Retirement Community, an accredited, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community on 120 wooded acres in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The first added 11 buildings to the campus: six independent living duplexes totaling 20,000 SF, a 1,400 SF multi-purpose building, a 19,000 SF intergenerational facility consisting of 2 cluster homes for Alzheimer’s patients, a social lounge, a resident association building, and a 2,000 SF addition to the existing dining center.
A decade later, Clancy & Theys returned to provide renovations and additions to enhance programs, including social living, aquatics and fitness, crafting and woodworking, healthcare, and dining. Living areas were also upgraded in assisted living and independent living housing.
Clancy & Theys’ upgrade and renovation work at Carol Woods was completed while the community remained active.
