Raleigh, NC — Clancy & Theys Construction Company has appointed Tim Farris as Chief Information Officer (CIO), a newly established leadership role created in response to the company’s continued growth and commitment to technological excellence. As CIO, Farris will oversee all technology, ensuring that the company’s use remains strategic, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.

In his new role, Farris will oversee IT, specialty technology, and virtual design and construction (VDC), driving innovation and efficiency throughout the organization. With over 20 years of progressive experience in technology across multiple industries, Farris has a proven track record of developing and leading strategies that foster business growth and transformation. He has successfully managed large-scale technology projects, integrated advanced solutions, and built high-performing teams, always treating technology as a strategic asset.

Farris holds a Master of Science in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Outside of work, Farris enjoys flying the vintage airplane he restored, playing golf, fishing, and working on projects in his shop. He is also an active volunteer at his children’s schools and with the American Black and Tan Coonhound rescue.
