Clancy & Theys Construction Company provided Construction Manager At-Risk services for the Live Oak Bank Pavilion at Riverfront Park project for the City of Wilmington.
Riverfront Park is located on 6.63 acres in a rapidly developing area of downtown Wilmington along the Cape Fear River on a former industrial site. The urban park fulfills a long-held goal to provide sizable green space for residents, employees and visitors to downtown Wilmington.
The park features a first class performance venue designed to attract A-list talent to Wilmington, with a minimum 62 foot wide by 55 foot deep fixed stage and feature a state of the art sound system, a minimum 2,800 square foot artist wing, back of the house motor coach connection capabilities allowing all performers to use and hear activities on the stage, extensive fiber optic based video infrastructure and capacity for 1,983 temporary fixed seats and 8,017 person lawn capacity.
Park program components include nearly one mile of trails/sidewalks/boardwalk, 13,000 sq ft of garden area, 80,500 sq ft of open lawn space, a pedestrian promenade/entrance, a splash plaza, hardscape plaza, food and beverage concession facilities, office space for park staff, restrooms, connections to the existing Riverwalk, children’s play area and various other park amenities and site work to include extension of the Old Front Street right-of-way, grading, utility work and stormwater management. The parcel is part of a brownfield agreement.
