Seth Poston’s 25 Year Journey

Humble. Approachable. Intelligent. Those are the words used to describe Seth Poston. Clancy & Theys Construction Company applauds the passion and stewardship values that Seth has demonstrated during his 25 years with us. We look forward to seeing all of the great buildings that he will help build in the upcoming years. “You have been a steady force in Charlotte,” says Executive Vice President, Tick Clancy.

Seth joined our team in 1996 shortly after Clancy & Theys was established in the Charlotte market. Over the next 25 years Seth went from being a carpenter to General Superintendent for the Charlotte division. “I know he’ll do a great job, because of the way he pushed me…” said Andrew Barnes, Superintendent. Seth and Andrew both worked alongside one another during the South Piedmont Community College project. That is where Andrew found not only a colleague but a mentor that possesses the leadership skills that helped those around him grow through their journey at Clancy & Theys. Seth challenged Andrew to always think outside the box and found immersive ways to help develop team members professionally.

Seth not only builds strong connections with the Clancy & Theys team but builds strong relationships with our construction partners such as Morris Berg Architects. Seth worked closely with Morris Berg Architects during the South Piedmont Community College Multi-Purpose/STEM Building in Monroe, NC, as well as many other projects in Charlotte. “I’ve met a lot of contractors in my time and I know that there are few that I have met that are elite rockstars, Seth is one of them, “says Rich Hinkelman, Project Manager/Construction Contract Administration. Seth continues to embody the prime example of collaboration in and outside our organization.

Congratulations on your 25th anniversary with Clancy & Theys! We know you have worked hard for this accomplishment and we truly appreciate your dedication and loyalty as you continue to grow with us.
