Raleigh Office wraps up food drive with Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina
Truly, embodying the real meaning of philanthropy this Thanksgiving holiday is our Clancy & Theys Raleigh employees’. They participated in our Food Drive to help donate food to less fortunate families in the community before the Thanksgiving holiday, and the event was a huge success with the participation of our trade partners on the Peace and Smoky Hollow Phase 2 projects. We are extremely humbled that our employees and partners embody the integral parts of our culture. The abundance of support and participation each year grows and we are very proud. We sincerely have a team that aspires to help our community.
Clancy & Theys’ Raleigh office partnered with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, a non-profit providing food to people at risk of hunger across 34 counties in central and eastern North Carolina for nearly 40 years. The Food Bank is an affiliate member of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. In terms of total food distributed the Food Bank ranks in the top 15 nationally among 200 Feeding America food banks and first in North Carolina. Their food distribution programs and child nutrition programs are based on national models. Simply put, the Food Bank works every day to provide food to people in need while building solutions to end hunger in our communities.
Our Raleigh office team collected 1,263 pounds of food, in addition to a monetary donation of $1,000. The combined food and monetary donations equate to 11,052 meals for hungry families in North Carolina surpassing our donations from the prior year. We are proud to have partnered with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. The Food Bank now will work to provide access to nutritious food that nourishes families, children, seniors, and individuals during this holiday season!
